J.CREW OUTFIT: SHOWING OFF MY MIDRIFF

I've already expressed to you several times before how much I'm in love with J.Crew and how much I admire Jena Lyons personal style and work, she literally revived the brand. Obviously now that I was in Miami I haaaaad to go to J.Crew's Lincoln Road store which is divine and of course got myself some cute stuff. Today, after three weeks of absence, I finally went to the network for my weekly TV segment "Style Sessions". The topic of the day was "Top 5 Fashion Misconceptions". Anyhow, I was feeling so fresh today that I decided to wear J.Crew from head to toe. I don't have abs of steel because I HATE doing sit ups (I do them once every three months hahaha) but I decided to show off my midriff anyways, who cares. Hope you like it.

AFTERNOON FUN

Good thing I had a little afternoon fun in my house because then I grabbed my car, drove to the hospital to visit my mom who got surgery a couple of days ago and crashed some lady's car inside the parking lot!!! Why, why, why!!! This things always happen to me, I suffer from a serious case of ADD and impatience.

MOTHER NATURE IS GOING CRAAAAAZY!!!

Hahahaha Oh my goodness people, I swear to you mother nature is on drugs!!! Yesterday it was cold here in Guatemala, not reaaaally cold but cold enough, I even wore a fur vest to keep me warm. Today we all look and feel like turkey's in the oven. I'm sweating from every corner in my body!!! It's disgusting but at the same time funny because I had to go film a new segment for our morning show and we came out all sweaty and messy because it was also windy so needless to say there was hair flying all over the place hahaha let's see how that comes out. 

This is how I looked this morning before I went venturing around our beautiful historic center where all the street vendors are. I have to say something about my gorgeous dress, it's a BECCA AMARO original. My best friend Kika Garcés and her sister Rebeca just recently started their own line of clothes called BECCA AMARO, I've already mentioned it to you several times before. Today I even got stopped by some girls who wanted to know where I got my dress, so Kika CONGRATULATIONS!!! You're on your way to being rich and famous hahahaha!!!! I'm not kidding.

IS IT A PONCHO OR IS IT A SWEATER? IT'S BOTH!!!

I swear I can't figure out this weather!!! This morning it looked like it was going to be cold and because of that I decided to wear this poncho/sweater I bought the other day at Massimo Dutti. I've been in denial about going shopping for winter clothes because I hate the winter but I figured out that it was either buy myself a sweater or freeze my ass soooo needless to say I had to commit sin and went shopping. 

But my point is that today is not really that cold and now I feel like I'm gonna start sweating like a pig inside this thing. One thing we can't deny it's that this half poncho half sweater is pretty cool, at least I like it. Anyhow!!! I hope the day gets colder or I'm gonna have serious problems.

IT ALMOST FEELS LIKE GOING SHOPPING

Hahaha I told you guys a couple of days ago how I finally picked up my laundry at the cleaners after like 2 months. Well... apparently half my closet was at the cleaners!!! Isn't it fantastic to discover that in reality you have more clothes than you imagined? I hate to go to the cleaners but I love to find out I  owned another cute dress I completely forgot I had!!! It almost feels like going shopping (hahaha ok, ok, maybe not!!!). 

Anyhow... Inside my clean laundry pile I found out a Max Azria dress I was clueless about. When I saw it I immediately thought about adding it to my uniform selection.  Now I think I'm only  missing one more dress to complete my uniform list (one for each day of the week), I probably have another one inside my laundry pile. We'll soon find out. 

I know this is not a LBD but it is a LWD (little white dress) which basically serves the same purpose. Soooo there you go.

LBD AT THE LAUNDRY!!!

Yesterday I finally went to pick up my laundry after like two months. I haaaaate running errands, I only do them because I have to but otherwise I would never do them. If I could ask for one luxury in life it would be a private assistant (and a chef, and a private trainer, ok maybe more than that). Here in Guatemala being the conservative society we are, us girls we're taught from a very early age that as women we're supposed to enjoy doing all this sorts of things or else!!! Or else what??? No one's ever gonna want to marry us??? We do it because we have to PERIOD!!! 

Anyhow, enough female anger hahahaha today is a wonderful day, the sky is blue, the weather is nice (a little bit cold for my taste) aaaaaand inside my laundry I found yet another LBD I bought in the Lower East Side in NYC. I have to admit I don't remember where exactly but I was excited to find out that I had it because now I can add it to my uniform list.  This one is specially cute, it's got a lovely victorian detail at the neck and it's super short hahaha. I hope you like it. The other good news is that today I'M GOINT TO GO GET MY HAIR DONE!!! Hahaha!!! Finally!!! It's in desperate need for help!!!

LBD AND RICK OWENS

I was browsing thru my closet in search of another LBD, fortunately I found this little black jersey dress I bought at Kora Kemperman a couple of years ago while I was vacationing in Amsterdam. It's very useful because I can mix it up with all sorts of things and it's extremely comfortable. The jacket, well... it's Rick Owens, the master of all leather jackets, its as soft as a cardigan FANTASTIC!!! I bought this jacket 10 YEARS AGO in Milan while I was living there. Back then Rick Owens wasn't that famous, he was a young and upcoming designer, now he's everywhere!!! ME WANT A BLACK ONE NOW!!! So I can look bad ass. 

I guess I found another outfit to add to my uniform selection.

Have you noticed I'm wearing NEW BOOTS!!! YES!!! I bought them yesterday at Massimo Dutti. Don't go thinking that because I have some new leather boots I'm throwing away my 100 year old cowboy boots, NEVER!!!

THE SEARCH CONTINUES...BLACK MARIA CORNEJO

Ok, the search for my black uniform continues, three down, two more to go. I have to say I'm having a blast making people think I'm nuts for wanting to wear a black dress every single day haha it's funny, they keep on giving me that confused face. Today I decided to wear one of my favorite designers. For those of you who follow me regularly I've already told you hundreds of times how If I had to choose one single designer to wear for the rest of my life I would wear Zero+Maria Cornejo. I bought this Maria Cornejo dress back in 2008 and today I saw it in my closet and decided to wear it. Honestly I was afraid it wouldn't fit me because my behind has grown just a tad haha fortunately it did fit but barely haha tomorrow I'm hitting the elliptical machine at the gym. Whatever, I hope you like it. I kind of look like a secretary though, a sexy one haha!!!

Ok, just so you know, when I took this pictures this morning it was 6:30am before I went to work. YES!!! Now I'm forced to wake up at 5am!!! In general I think I only get around 5 hours of sleep, sometimes 6, sometimes 4 so if I start to sound senseless please excuse me.

Ok, maybe I am looking at my behind in the mirror.
