MIDNIGHT IN PARIS

Yesterday we shot a christmas commercial for Canal Antigua, the TV network I work for. We had to dress wintery and festive. I said: no red, definitely no bells, and no Santa Claus hats for me thank you. 

This is what I chose to wear. My friends from the network said I looked like a character from the film "Midnight in Paris." How come I always end up looking vintage, I don't do it intentionally, it just happens. By the way, it was sooooo cold! I froze my buttocks! 

El día de ayer grabamos un comercial de navidad para Canal Antigua, el canal de TV para el cual trabajo. Tuvimos que vestirnos invernales y festivos. Yo dije: nada rojo, definitivamente nada de campanas y nada de sombreros de Santa Claus para mi gracias.

Esto es lo que elegí vestir. Mis amigas del canal dijeron que parecía un personaje de la película "Midnight in Paris." Por que será que siempre termino viéndome vintage, no lo hago intencional, simplemente sucede. Por cierto, estaba friiiiisimo! Me congelé las nalgas!

HOW TO WEAR BURGUNDY

Burgundy is one of this seasons hottest colors. It's dramatic and rich and very often associated with the autumn-winter season. When we think of the color burgundy we often visualize it paired up with black, gray and other neutrals. However, the good news is you can also mix it up with other bold colors like orange, purple, turquoise, and even electric blue. The key to wearing it successfully is to keep an open mind (don't be afraid to try new things) and always look for a tone that most flatters your skin color. 

Today I came up with three different ways to wear burgundy mixed up with other neutrals. Next time I'll show you a more colorful way to wear it. If you still feel a bit insecure wearing this color, you can always start by adding burgundy accessories to your outfits.

El vino tinto es uno de los colores más populares de la temporada. Es rico y dramático y frecuentemente asociado con la época de otoño e invierno. Cuando pensamos en el color vino tinto, la mayoría de las veces lo visualizamos  combinado con negro y otros neutrales. Sin embargo, la buena noticia es que también puedes combinarlo con anaranjado, violeta, turquesa e incluso azul eléctrico. La clave para vestir este color de manera exitosa es mantener una mente abierta (no tengas miedo de probar cosas nuevas) y siempre buscar una tonalidad que mejor favorezca tu color de piel.  

He aquí tres maneras como puedes vestir vino tinto combinado con otros neutrales. La próxima vez les mostraré cómo vestirlo de manera más colorida. Si aún así sientes temor de usar este color, siempre puedes empezar probando con accesorios vino tinto. 

Combina unos jeans color vino tinto con un suéter de cachemira gris.

y siempre cómodo a tu atuendo, elige unos zapatos cerrados

y puntiagudos de medio tacón en vez de las usuales

zapatillas planas

Combina un suéter grueso color vino tinto con unas leggings negras también gruesas.

una chalina estampada de colores.

Viste un blazer vino tinto encima de un atuendo monocromático para un look elegante de noche.

August is long gone and September is almost gone, prepare yourselves everyone the winter season is almost at your door. Good bye to sexy maxi dresses hello to beautiful winter coats and hats.
