I LOVE MY 60'S VINTAGE

This photo here belongs to the neckline of the most beautiful vintage dress from the 60's that belonged to my mother. Now it belongs to me! It has a matching jacket like most outfits did back in those days. I don't want to show you the complete outfit right now because I'm planning to share it with you guys in the future in one of my Mademoiselle Red posts. I'm having it altered to fit my body. You guys are gonna love it!

Tiene una chaqueta que le hace juego así como tenían la mayoría de atuendos de la época. No quiero mostrarles el atuendo completo ahora porque estoy planeando mostrárselo en el futuro a través de uno de mis Mademoiselle Red posts. Lo estoy ajustando a mi medida. Les va a encantar!

LITTLE MISS RED VINTAGE HAT

When my grandmother passed away I inherited her very well kept collection of vintage hats. Some of them I use them as part of my room decor, others I keep in a box and bring out only on special occasions like this one. 

Cuando mi abuela falleció heredé su muy bien cuidada colección de sombreros. Algunos de ellos los uso como parte de la decoración de mi cuarto, otros los mantengo guardados en una caja y saco únicamente en ocasiones especiales como esta.

LITTLE MISS VINTAGE RED SAILOR

Well... It's not really a sailor outfit, in fact it's not at all but all this white, red, and blue going on sure makes me feel like I was vacationing on the French Riviera in the 1950's ¿Don't you think so? Imagine walking along the beach at Deuville with a glass of champagne watching the sun go down...or rise most likely you've been up all night. Wait! Deuville is not the French Riviera... Who cares! Even better. 

Anyways, whatever... this whole thing just feels very sailorish to me. Bon chance!

LITTLE MISS VINTAGE TRAVELER

Good morning everyone! I was a little bit absent for a couple of days but I'm back. Today I'm excited because it's Little Miss Red Fashion Adventures Tuesday. This time my team of creative people, my photographer Shanila, and my hair and makeup artist Fernanda really did an amazing job! They always do but I specially loooove today's shoot and I know you guys are gonna love it too. I feel very blessed by God because he has put in my life the best and most creative people to work with without whom I couldn't do this. For a very long time I worked by myself, I styled myself, did my own hair and makeup, took my own pictures, the works. In a way it was rewarding because it made me feel sufficient but it feels so much better to be part of a team than to be a loner. I still style myself but now I have two other creative minds working together with me. 

Today's shoot was inspired by how elegant and sophisticated people dressed in past decades when they traveled. Traveling was quite an event and it required that you played the part. The outfit I'm wearing was a gift from my dad to my mom, he bought it for her at Harvey Nichols in London while on their honeymoon. The camera case belonged to my father, and the luggage belonged to my grandmothers, they traveled with them when they came to live to Guatemala years and years ago. This is undoubtedly a photo shoot filled with history which is really what makes it so special.
