FASHION NEWS: J.CREW SEPTEMBER STYLE GUIDE

If you are a J.Crew snob like I am, then you probably already know that the company released an exclusive first look of their September Style Guide on Pinterest this past Monday (you didn't know?). If you still haven't seen it, then maybe you should take a few minutes and decide for yourself wether you like it or not. As much as I've been a fan ever since Jenna Lyons took over the reins and transformed J.Crew into something cool that you could actually be seen wearing, I will admit I'm not crazy about the September Style Guide. It all seems a little bit boring, except for the "sneakers with practically everything" concept that has been going on for a quite a while now in street style, and that obviously J.Crew is now endorsing. Who doesn't love sneakers nowadays? According to the J.Crew creative team, you can wear sneakers with your business suit. In my personal opinion you might just end up receiving a call from human resources. Better just stick to wear them for walking to work. At least sneakers are cool now. Back in the 80's and 90's you could spot women all over NYC walking around in the most hideous white athletic sneakers. Horrible! 

However, just because It looks a little bit boring at glance it doesn't mean that I don't have some favorites I would like to get for the upcoming season. At the end of the day it's J.Crew, of course I want something they have (like maybe the metallic silver Oxfords. Ummm YEAH!)

Yeah, for all of you youngsters out there, this really happened, like, fo real! The Sex And The City creators didn't just made it up, it's actually part of the history of fashion archives.

STUDDED SNEAKERS

My lifelong dream of owning a pair of studded sneakers finally came true lol! Alright I shouldn't be so dramatic about it. It's just that finding a pair of studded sneakers in Guatemala is nearly impossible. So yes, I'm happy! 

By the way, they are not dirty, they come like that and I love them. I'm gonna wear them with shorts, jeans, skirts, dresses, you name it! Can't wait to show you how they look.

El sueño de mi vida de poseer unos tenis con tachuelas finalmente se hizo realidad jajaja! Esta bien, no debería ser tan dramática al respecto. Es solo que encontrar un par de zapatos como estos en Guatemala es casi imposible. Entonces si, estoy feliz! 

Por cierto, no están sucios, vienen así y los amo. Voy a usarlos con shorts, jeans, faldas, vestidos, ustedes me dirán! No veo las horas de mostrarles como se ven puestos.

SNEAKER MANIA CONTINUES

Guilty as charged! I'm a victim of the skirts, dresses, and everything else with sneakers trend. I find myself fantasizing at all times about all sorts of sneakers, neon Nike sneakers, Adidas with wings sneakers (have you seen them? They are absolutely crazy), Isabel Marant red leather and suede snekares, Miu Miu glitter finished leather sneakers , Giuseppe Zanotti python-print leather hight tops, Pierre Hardy leopard print high tops, Yves Saint Laurent studded suede and patent leather high tops... you name it! I like them all! Aaaaaand I want them all wuuuaaaaa!

Today I found this image on Lee Oliveira's street style photography blog and I thought whomever it is she's really rocking it. Don't ya think? If you don't like it just keep it to yourself, no need to trash anyone. 

Who said you can't wear Nike sneakers other than to go run a marathon.

SNEAKERS DEFINITELY WOULD

Today I was visiting WHO WHAT WEAR and I saw the new Converse campaign and I LOVED IT!!! Shoes are boring wear sneakers!!! Sooooo true I have to say!!! Every time I wear sneakers I always have more fun. Give it up for sneakers!!!

CHANEL 2012-2013 CRUISE COLLECTION: SNEAKER TREND

I told you people that wearing sneakers was in style and by the looks of it next year it's still gonna be hot. This time Karl Lagerfeld really took it to another level with platform heels in soft pastel tones to match his collection. Another hint....apparently pastels are still making an appearance in this september runways, we'll see. I for one am glad about this trend cause I like it a lot, and it's evidence that designers really do get their inspiration from street style and not the other way around like it used to be years ago. The street rules now!!!

SNEAKER MANIA!!!

Isabel Marant has put the cool back into the sneakers!!! And it's madness!!! I have to admit I just noticed the trend. I like fashion sneakers I wear mines a lot because their comfy, I move a lot, I'm tall, and I have flat feet. But it was just recently that I noticed that there was a Isabel Marant fever going on. I'm sorry but this is Guatemala sometimes it's difficult to keep track of trends when we lack a lot of fashion in our country. 

Anyhow... many fashion women during the statement stiletto era (maybe I just made that up, who cares it my blog!!!) would've sworn on their dead bodies you wouldn't have caught them dead wearing sneakers, but since Isabel Marant has made them cool again now everyone wants to wear them. No matter the reason I dig it a lot and not just Isabel Marant designs, other cool ones too. 

Point made I like the sneaker trend and I want to try it.
