CHAMBRAY SHIRTS: A WARDROBE STAPLE

A chambray shirt is most definitely a timeless wardrobe staple and one of the most versatile pieces you can own. Cambric or chambray is a plain weave, lightweight cotton cloth that is used as a fabric for lace and needlework. It is very similar to lightweight denim. The chambray shirt was very famous in 1980's and 1990's in the casual wear section and was inspired by workmen. Now the chambray shirt is back and it's worn by both men and women. The men's chambray shirt has always been a popular statement, but the women's version has gained a lot of popularity lately. The chambray shirt for women come in two versions:  the baggy, boyfriend trend and the denim trend.

I own two of them a light one and a more darker one and I prefer a more fitted style than the oversized or baggy one. Baggy styles are best worn with leggings or skinny jeans.  I wear mine with white skinny jeans, black skinny jeans, red skinny jeans, skirts in neutral tones and sometimes I even pull the denim on denim look which I looove.

If you're thinking about getting yourself a chambray shirt to wear this season, here are 3 stylish ways to do it. Stay tuned because later this afternoon I'll be posting more ideas on how to wear them, you're going to like them.
