STYLISH IN THE RAIN SERIES

For those of you who don't live in Guatemala or have never been here let me explain to you a little bit more about our weather. Guatemala city enjoys spring weather all year round, it's never too cold, never too hot, we have literally the best weather in the whole world. If you want to feel a little more tropical you can go to the beach which is only two hours away and if you want to go where it's a little bit colder you can also do it in a three to four hour drive, we basically have everything in a small piece of territory, even rain forests. Back in the city where is spring all year round we have two seasons: rainy season and dry season, 6 months of rain and 6 months of no rain (sometimes it's more than 6 months of rain).

Right now it's rainy season at it's full bloom. I have to admit I am no fan of the rain but fact of the matter is this is my reality and I need to accept it. It's quite impressive how we've been living in this city all of our lives and we still don't know how to dress accordingly, we go about wearing sandals and leaving our umbrellas at home! How can this be?

With this in mind I decided to create a STYLISH IN THE RAIN SERIES where once a week I will be posting one outfit idea for you to wear during rainy season. So here goes the first one:

Just because it's raining it doesn't mean its cold, it doesn't mean it's winter, most of the time it's hot and humid so why not show your legs and wear shorts? Keep your outfit neutral and add a little color thru accessories to make it fun, don't go making your day more depressing than it already is. Remember: put a smile on your face and don't forget your umbrella.

ENJOY!!!
