MADEMOISELLE RED HAS AN ADDICTION (OR TWO)

Hello everyone! I hope you're all having a wonderful week. Hasn't it ever happened to you that you wake up and even though you're already fully awaken it takes you about three minutes to actually realize that it's really not Saturday but Tuesday? It happened to me today lol! The disappointment!

Anyhow... Today I want to talk to you about my two latest addictions. Actually one is more of a habit that I've acquired recently, the other is totally and addiction (as if I needed another one). Let's start with my new uniform. I've always liked the idea of a uniform. I don't know if you guys remember the time that I attempted a LBD uniform when I was a producer for Matutino Express. Black skinny jeans, white button down or denim button down (men's shirts are my fave), biker boots, three watches, have become my latest uniform. I just feel it's comfortable, classic, and I look good like that. I don't have to think about it too much, and I don't have to worry about shopping too much either. Now I just enjoy dressing up for special occasions (TV, blog photo shoots...) or when I'm going out. My second addiction is WOCKO! OMG! Why did they have to open in the city? Now I feel like I have to have it every day! I try to make mine as healthy as I possibly can with whole wheat noodles, tofu, green vegetables and curry sauce. I'm gonna have to draw a line and limit myself to once a week Wocko (maybe two). Wish me luck!

Deseenme suerte!

LITTLE MISS BOW TIE CHIC

So I ended up staying in Miami much longer than planed. I was supposed to go back to Guatemala today but my Cuban family surprised me here and now I'm staying till December 23 so I can spend my birthday in Miami and celebrate it with some of my favorite people. Here's another one of my fashion adventures "Little Miss Bow Tie Chic". I've always been a huge fan of the lady-gentleman look so I hope you like it and maybe feel inspired to try something similar yourself.

LITTLE MISS RED DOES HER LAUNDRY

Good morning everyone! Welcome to Little Miss Red Fashion Adventures Tuesday. Today is laundry day for Miss Red. Perhaps you might think she looks a little bit too dressed up for such a primitive activity but the truth is she never looses her glam and charm. Who knows what she'll be up to next time, meanwhile this is how Miss Red does her laundry.

CAPS AND HATS

Good morning stylish people all over! This has been a good week. I feel full of energy, new ideas, and hope for the future, I wish the same for y'all.

Today I saw this feature about DRIVERS CAPS on Who What Wear. I was so happy to see it because I have a huge collection of hats and caps like this one's and it gave me a lot of good ideas for today's photo shoot with my talented and gorgeous photographer Shánila.

Last week we couldn't take any pictures because we where both so busy and when we finally found some time the weather got awful, so I apologize for no Little Miss Red post this week but the next following weeks are gonna be good.

Here's a peek at some of the props I'm using for today's photo shoot.

INSPIRATION OF THE DAY: ALL THE COLORS OF THE RAINBOW

Today while I was looking for inspiration on Pinterest I found this very colorful image and decided to create an outfit inspired in all the colors of the rainbow. If you want to look well put together remember that unless you have a lot of knowledge about fashion and styling you're not supposed to mix more than three colors in one single outfit, except for prints of course but still try not to overdo it. If you're gonna wear say... a printed skirt, try to tone down your outfit a notch by mixing your skirt with a solid top in a color that relates to your skirt or that creates interesting contrast. Meanwhile take a look at my very colorful summer outfit. Hope you like it.

ACCESSORIES: BLACK AND GOLD

Remember I told you about my new Zara flats? Well... Yesterday I was ready to wear them with my LBD, little Chanel bag and Massimo Dutti hat (which by the way I'm glad I didn't wear it because...what was I thinking I could've melted my head with that thing on lol!) when I noticed that that my left foot felt a little bit tighter and so I thought: wait a minute! This shoe is smaller than the other! I looked and in fact it was! Now I have to back and see if they can give me a left shoe on the right size, if not, I don't know what the hell I'm gonna do, I guess I'll just use them as part of my room decor lol!

SUNDAY FARMERS MARKET OUTFIT

Once a month Saúl E. Méndez organizes a farmers market at Paseo Cayalá. It used to be at Saúl E. Méndez headquarters but little by little it has been evolving into something a little bit bigger. I still believe that the idea of the farmers market is something great, it gives people something different to do once a month and it's an opportunity for small, local artisans and producers to show their products. Even though Paseo Cayalá is a very beautiful place and while I do understand that if you want to make thing's bigger sometimes you just got to move, nothing compares to the first FM held at the Saúl headquartes, they used to be so much cozier and the ambiance in general was so much cooler. I think a lot of people would agree with me on that. Still we went and enjoyed a very pleasant sunny Sunday morning. On my next post I will show you some of my favorite things at the farmers market, right now it's all about my outfit.

As we all know, every girl needs a dress that makes her feel fresh and comfortable, this is one of them for me. I've had it for years and I bought it at a very low profile store in Antigua Guatemala back in 2006 I think. The weather today in Guatemala was soooo nice that I decided to wear it. To personalize my outfit I went for my red lipstick (of course), raffia hat from Anthropologie and necklace also from Anthropologie. The hat I bought it when I went to Miami a couple of months ago and the necklace is reeeeeeaaaaally old too, I seldom ever wear it but I thought today with this dress was the perfect opportunity.
