LITTLE MISS RED VINTAGE HAT

When my grandmother passed away I inherited her very well kept collection of vintage hats. Some of them I use them as part of my room decor, others I keep in a box and bring out only on special occasions like this one.

Cuando mi abuela falleció heredé su muy bien cuidada colección de sombreros. Algunos de ellos los uso como parte de la decoración de mi cuarto, otros los mantengo guardados en una caja y saco únicamente en ocasiones especiales como esta.

CAPS AND HATS

Good morning stylish people all over! This has been a good week. I feel full of energy, new ideas, and hope for the future, I wish the same for y'all.

Today I saw this feature about DRIVERS CAPS on Who What Wear. I was so happy to see it because I have a huge collection of hats and caps like this one's and it gave me a lot of good ideas for today's photo shoot with my talented and gorgeous photographer Shánila.

Last week we couldn't take any pictures because we where both so busy and when we finally found some time the weather got awful, so I apologize for no Little Miss Red post this week but the next following weeks are gonna be good.

Here's a peek at some of the props I'm using for today's photo shoot.

LITTLE MISS FINISHING SCHOOL

Good morning everyone! It's Little Miss Red Fashion Adventures Tuesday.  Like I told you yesterday, on this occasion Little Miss Red is sent to finishing school to learn how to be a stylish and educated lady (although she already was). From walking up straight to how to become a charming hostess she learned it all. I guess a little finishing school doesn't hurt anyone, not even free spirited Little Miss Red.

LITTLE MISS RED PITAYA

Can't you tell tropical chic is my favorite look of all? What's not to like about it? In faaaact, what's not to like about everything tropical! Tropical weather, tropical food, tropical beverages, tropical music, tropical colors, tropical people, everything! I love it! I'm always funner in tropical places (and on Saturday's, random fact).

Anyhow... Today's look is a combination of colorful fun pieces with more classic and understated ones, which proves amazingly well how versatile a blazer and a pair of jeans can be, they truly are two of the most important pieces any woman should own.

A while ago I found a little jewelry box filled with vintage watches that used to belong to my dad. I thought to myself...If someone out there invented the stackable bracelets trend why not come up with my own stackable vintage watches trend? Needless to say I did (ok, I'm sure someone else has already done it). I had to do something with all those watches. Of course there isn't a  day I don't bump into someone who feels compelled to ask why the hell I'm wearing 4 watches that don't work lol! This reminds me of the time my cousin got married and I decided to wear a very eye catching head piece with black feathers sticking out, everyone kept on asking me how many black crows I had killed to make my headpiece. Did I care? NO! I looked stunning! Always go with your instinct but if you're not so sure about it and need some encouragement, contact me! I can help you become your most stylish self.

I give you Little Miss Red Pitaya!

What the hell is pitaya? For those of you who have never heard of it pitaya is an exotic fruit very common of our region, another tropical wonder.

DOLCE OUTFIT

Tonight I'm invited to attend the DOLCE party. DOLCE is a Guatemalan TV show showcasing local designers and artists. Today they are throwing a cocktail party to present the last episode of their first season. My friend Debora Fadul of Chef de Mon Coeur is doing the catering and of course I'm attending to support my fellow artist friends.

Here's what I'm planning on wearing tonight now that I'm in the neon tropical mood, despite the fact that today the weather is horrible. I know! I'm in perpetual denial of our weather but I don't give a......
