FASHION EDITORIAL OF THE WEEK: ANTHEMOESSA

I just recently found out about Grey magazine thru Garance Doré. She spoke so highly of it that I thought I needed to see the magazine for myself. Of course since there's absolutely no way I could ever find that magazine in Guatemala I had to look it up online. Sometimes I get overwhelmed thinking about all the great magazines I have absolutely no knowledge of their existence. I wish I had easy access to all of them (easy physical access, I still like to go thru the pages of a magazine and collect them).

Anyways... I visited their website and completely fell in love with their aesthetics. It's refreshing to find magazines that still maintain a true identity and creative integrity. For this week's fashion editorial of the week post I chose one of Grey Magazine's fashion editorial.  I highly recommend that you visit the magazine online and delight yourself going thru their photographs and other interesting and intelligent content.

OH YES!!! ISABEL MARANT SLOUCHY LEATHER ANKLE BOOTS

Yes or yes! You have to agree with me Isabel Marant just won shoe designer breakthrough of the year? First with the invention of the ubiquitous wedge sneaker and now with these amazing slouchy leather ankle boots. I mean, seriously, what else can a girl want in life? You can wear those boots with everything (and don't even get me started with the sneakers) dresses, shorts, skirts, pants, jeans, leggings, or just go commando... Those are the boots to have this season (according to me of course). I prepared three chic ways to wear your Isabel Marant slouchy leather ankle boots for three different personality styles.  Really I could go on forever creating outfits for those boots, unfortunately I have other work to do and I find myself forced to stop. If you have any questions regarding how to wear a specific pair of boots you own you can always send me an e-mail to info@mcacquaroni.com I would be more than glad to help.

Hope you like it! Take care and until next!

@CAROLINA HERRERA

Today I went to CH store in Guatemala to see what new designs had arrived. I think last time I was there was December, I bought my mother a beautiful and elegant CH handbag for christmas that she almost had a heart attack when she saw it.  Today I saw so many new beautiful styles that I decided to take pictures of some of the things that most got my attention. I was so excited about the images that I rushed back home to work on this post. I personally don't own a CH handbag yet but I would most definitely consider buying myself one, in fact I've been thinking about it for quite a while now, perhaps that's why I keep on going back to the store. I'm not a handbag girl, I don't buy handbags all the time, when I buy one I like to use it a lot and I usually go for more classic designers and styles like say... Prada (my favorite), Chloé and Celine and a little bit of Marni here and there (who doesn't love Marni). I don't like trendy bags fully ornamented with huge logos, in fact the less logos the better for me. The two only logos I can tolerate maybe are Chanel and CH (Carolina Herrera).

Take a look at all the wonderful things I saw today. What I like the most about going into a CH store is that you actually feel like you're stepping inside her home, filled with portraits of Carolina Herrera herself  when she was younger and books she probably has sitting in her own library or on top of her coffee table. It's actually quite a fantastic experience.

I HAVE A CRUSH ON CHLOÉ

I'm so pathetic sometimes hahaha. While I was in Miami I went to Bal Harbour to get my secret perfume (the one that gives me special powers) and of course I had to go into Chloé. Ayayayayayay I felt my heart aching specially when I saw those fabulous dresses featured in all the magazines (the really flowy one's). Anyhow, since I can't afford any Chloé at this particular moment, I took the catalog hahahaha and now I have it in my room as a reminder that pretty soon I'm gonna dress Chloé from head to toe (ok maybe I was a bit drastic there).

THE IT BAG

I once read on an article that one of the many things every woman deserves to have is an "It Bag" not precisely many but one.

I'm the kind of girl who doesn't like to change her bag that often and grows quite attached to the one she has. I much rather spend money in one amazing bag and all sorts of shoes. I simply like the idea of a signature bag, one that you always wear and that people know it's yours, just like the signature perfume (but we'll talk more about that later). Also I don't really like super trendy bags. I'm not the type that's after the bag everyone has or wants. I've been carrying with me the same Prada bag for two years now and I still love it, I don't care if everyone has already seen me 1,000,000 times wearing it.

However this year I thought it would be nice to consider another handbag. When the time came to narrow it down to one gorgeous bag that could come with me everywhere for the next two years I thought of a Chloé Bucket Bag. I loooove them (I don't know if I've already told you about my obsession with Chloé). They're simple, elegant and understated, I don't have to take it to the consignment store in six months because it's sooooo obvios it's sooooo last season. Net-a-porter had a fabulous perforated Chloé Bucket Bag that I wanted to show you a picture of but unfortunately they run out of stock and I can't find a picture of it anywhere!!! OH WAIT!!! I JUST FOUND IT!!!HAHAHA!!! This is it, the Chloé Bucket Bag of my dreams, It's actually called The Chloé Charlie perforated bucket bag. Although now I think I can't have it anymore because they're sold out!!! My bad, if not I might just go for a Proenza Schouler one.

CHLOÉ CHARLIE PERFORATED BUCKET BAG

Or perhaps, what do you think of this PROENZA SCHOULER PS1 KEEP ALL LEATHER AND STRAW BAG?

If not we'll stick to Chloé and her lovely bucket bags, here are some images of the Fall 2010 showcasing the bags (I know what you're thinking...They're soooo last season I DON'T CARE!!! I love them and If I can still find one I'll get it, not used though, it has to be brand new).

Chloé it is!!!
