WHAT COLORS GO WELL WITH BURGUNDY

I find the question of: What colors go well  with burgundy? To be a bit complex to answer. There's the obvious answer: with neutral colors (black, gray, white, ivory and navy blue). But then there's also the "think outside the box" kind of answer. I did a little research of my own and found the following answers:

1.  Red and violet are good colors to match with burgundy since they fall next to each other on the color wheel. 

2. You can also match tints (colors mixed with white) of red and violet as well as hues (colors mixed with black) of blue with burgundy.

3. Burgundy matches well with hunter green. Both are darker shades of red and green.

However I find this not to be the last answer. This season more daring proposals have been offered by designers, mixing burgundy with bright color like orange and electric blue. With this in mind I ventured myself into color mixing and came up with a couple of proposals. When I create outfits sometimes I like to push the limits. This outfits are only for people who are not afraid and who are willing to try new things.

Personalmente encuentro la pregunta de: Qué colores combinan bien con vino tinto? Un poco difícil de responder. Siempre está la respuesta obvia: con otros neutrales (negro, gris, blanco, crema y azul marino). Pero luego también tenemos la respuesta tipo "piensa fuera del cuadrado". Hice una pequeña investigación y encontré las siguientes respuestas:

1. Los rojos y los violetas son colores que combinan muy bien con vino tinto porque se encuentran uno a la par del otro dentro del círculo cromático.

2. También puedes combinar tintes (colores mezclados con blanco) rojos y violetas al igual que tonos (colores mezclados con negro) de azul con vino tinto. 

3. El vino tinto combina muy bien con un verde oscuro que también haya sido mezclado con negro. 

Sin embargo pienso que esta no es la última palabra. Esta temporada los diseñadores nos ofrecieron propuestas más atrevidas, mezclando el vino tinto con colores brillantes como el anaranjado o incluso un azul eléctrico. Con esto en mente me aventuré a mezclar colores y desarrollé las siguientes dos propuestas. Cuando creo atuendos muchas veces me gusta empujar los límites. Estos atuendos son solo para personas que no tienen miedo y que están dispuestas a probar cosas nuevas.

tacones negros por una opción más colorida en el mismo estilo de zapato. 

Anaranjado.

elige un bolso estructurado femenino en algún color complementario.

HOW TO WEAR BURGUNDY

Burgundy is one of this seasons hottest colors. It's dramatic and rich and very often associated with the autumn-winter season. When we think of the color burgundy we often visualize it paired up with black, gray and other neutrals. However, the good news is you can also mix it up with other bold colors like orange, purple, turquoise, and even electric blue. The key to wearing it successfully is to keep an open mind (don't be afraid to try new things) and always look for a tone that most flatters your skin color. 

Today I came up with three different ways to wear burgundy mixed up with other neutrals. Next time I'll show you a more colorful way to wear it. If you still feel a bit insecure wearing this color, you can always start by adding burgundy accessories to your outfits.

El vino tinto es uno de los colores más populares de la temporada. Es rico y dramático y frecuentemente asociado con la época de otoño e invierno. Cuando pensamos en el color vino tinto, la mayoría de las veces lo visualizamos  combinado con negro y otros neutrales. Sin embargo, la buena noticia es que también puedes combinarlo con anaranjado, violeta, turquesa e incluso azul eléctrico. La clave para vestir este color de manera exitosa es mantener una mente abierta (no tengas miedo de probar cosas nuevas) y siempre buscar una tonalidad que mejor favorezca tu color de piel.  

He aquí tres maneras como puedes vestir vino tinto combinado con otros neutrales. La próxima vez les mostraré cómo vestirlo de manera más colorida. Si aún así sientes temor de usar este color, siempre puedes empezar probando con accesorios vino tinto.
