NEW ALEXIS BITTAR AT C'SANTOS

Ladies you have to agree with me that this Alexis Bittar jewelry set is to die for. Ocean green stones (that's how I call them) have always been my favorite. When I saw this set at C'Santos on Monday I thought I juts simply had to share it with you. Of course this is not the only new Alexis Bittar at C'Santos there's more where that came from! New season, new jewelry!

NEW WEBSITE IN PROGRESS

Oh my goodness people! I don't know for how long me and my creative and technical team have been working on my new website, I can't wait for it to be done! My best friend Kika Garces did the design (website and logo), Julian Quevedo took my photos, I did photographic post-production and Lima Studio is programming the website for me, a lot of creative hard working people involved. Doing something great takes time and patience and a lot of changing your mind. The people at Lima Studio have been extremely patient with me.

I wanted to share with you some pictures I took this morning. I'm using them for the SERVICES menu on my website.  Sometimes a girl needs to be resourceful which is why I found myself in need to take the pictures myself. Being resourceful is a great way to get your business ahead. Look around... Do yo have a friend who's good at design and is willing to help? a photographer friend? a PR friend? Don't be ashamed to ask, be resourceful, perhaps some day they'll need your help as well. If you don't have anyone around you ask yourself... Can I do this myself? Maybe you can!

HOW TO TRAVEL COMFORTABLE AND IN STYLE

What a wonderful thing it is to travel! The excitement of going to a new and undiscovered place, that amazing feeling of eagerness one gets when the airplane is just about to take off is one of the most amazing feelings I know. Traveling is exciting but it's also a tiring experience so why add to it the feeling of being uncomfortable.

Feeling comfortable is essential when traveling, however that doesn't mean you have to look like you left you're house wearing your pj's or looking like a college student on a budget. You don't need to sacrifice style for comfort, you can have both. Yes women! We can have it all! Lol! Here are some outfit ideas and helpful tips to follow next time you decide to embark on a new traveling adventure.

1. Choose basic outfits (leggings, soft skinny jeans, loose jersey tops, loose long jersey cardigans, soft leather jackets, sneakers, ballerina flats, soft ankle boots...).

2. Learn to accessorize. It's the right accessories that will add interest to your outfit. I personally don't recommend big statement jewelry when traveling, try to keep it simple. Something I highly recommend is a beautiful cashmere scarf, it will make you look incredibly stylish and it can be your best ally when it gets chilly inside the airplane.

3. Take with you a bag big enough to carry all you essentials (a stylish one of course)

4. Sunglasses. After several hours of flight you might not look your best, a pair of oversized sunglasses will save the day. No one will know what really goes under them.

5. Maxi dresses. A dress might sound like a really bad idea for traveling, but maxi dresses are perfect because they're comfortable and stylish and if you're not as big as I am you can pull your legs up and get cozy next to the window (my legs are so long I always travel aisle).

Good luck ladies!!! And Bon Voyage!!!

NEW PROJECT ON STYLE BY RED!!!

Ladies and gentleman I'm so happy to announce that today I start a new project on Style by Red with my friend and photographer Shanila Menendez. I'm so excited that I'm finally having a professional photographer as good as Shanila take my picture in a different scenery other than my room. The idea of this project is to show you some of my favorite outfits in some of my favorite hidden places in Guatemala. Shanila is such a talented photographer that this project is bound to be good so you have to stay tuned for what's coming up on Style by Red because this is only the beginning.

Here's a sneak peek at what I'll be wearing for today's photo shoot.

MEET THE NEW ATELIER BOUTIQUE!!!

Hello and good morning everyone!!! What better way to start the day than with some good and exciting news. This morning I want to introduce to you the new and improved ATELIER BOUTIQUE. I first introduced you to Atelier about three months ago and back then I already thought that it was the cutest little boutique in Guatemala with some of the most beautiful designers and labels, honestly speaking my favorite place. Just when you thought it couldn't get better it actually did!!! The girls from Atelier just recently relocated their boutique to a much bigger place right next to their former one and may I say it's absolutely gorgeous!!! Like I said, before it was a cute little boutique with great brands now it's an amazing boutique still with great brands. It actually looks like a boutique you could find in New York City's Soho, or Greenwich Village or Nolita, except bigger, we all know NYC boutiques can be quite small.

Anyhow, today I want to congratulate Carolina and Margarita, the two wonderful girls from Atelier for their great job and thank them for opening in Guatemala such a wonderful place for us women to shop and feel special.
