LITTLE MISS BOHEMIAN RED
On our first edition of "Little Miss Red Fashion Adventures" we decided (my team and I) to welcome you to this very exciting series with a Mademoiselle Red kind of look. Who is Mademoiselle Red? She is a classic, modern, and sophisticated woman who's not afraid to be who she is, a woman of her own.
Today Miss Red takes on a very different character, just like she does every single day when she wakes up, always without loosing herself and her own identity. Fashion is nothing but an extension of ourselves, a way thru which we can express our own individualistic, creative, romantic, dramatic, or classic personalities. That's the beauty of fashion, it's not about expensive labels (which of course we love because their beautiful) its about being able to be who you want to be.
In this edition of "Little Miss Red Fashion Adventures" I decided to go for a romantic bohemian kind of look. Bohemian style is never, never about pouring yourself into the clothes someone else thinks you should wear. Bohemian style is for free spirited people who please themselves instead of conforming. It suits individualistic, creative, and unconventional lifestyles. It's about feeling comfortable and always being ready for your next adventure.

TUESDAY OUTFIT: CLASSIC GUATEMALAN URBAN
I bought this Guatemalan bag a couple of years ago at a local market in Antigua Guatemala and since then people have been complimenting me on it, everyone loves it. Ever since I bought it I've been going back to the same market to see if the have the same bag in other styles but I can never find another one just like it, I guess mine is one of a kind and that makes me a lucky girl. I used to wear it a lot and then I stopped but today I saw it hanging all alone in my closet and thought it was about time I started wearing it again. Guess what? today everyone complimented me on it again, the truth is no designer handbag compares to the beauty of our native designs, they're beautiful and colorful and most importantly they're full of history, I love it. Today's look I decided to call it CLASSIC URBAN GUATEMALAN STYLE, a touch of classic, a touch of urban and a lot of Guatemalan, hope you like it.

SUNDAY OUTFIT: NEUTRALS AND NEON
Today I really didn't want to leave my house but was forced to do so because I had to go Mango to pick up 4 outfits for tomorrow's show. Every month we film 4 episodes of De Los 20 a Los 50 and Mango always lends us our outfits. Since I was already at the mall I thought to myself why not take a look around Zara. After trying on like 6 different dresses I came to the conclusion that NOTHING FITS ME AT ZARA!!! Seriously!!! Every time I go there and try something on nothing ever fits me, I think I have 2 dresses from Zara and that's it, it's really a miracle if I ever find something there. I left Zara and headed myself to Massimo Dutti where I almost always find something that fits me. I ended up buying an ivory maxi dress in a delicious fabric and a navy blue blazer to go with the dress. The outfit looks wonderful on me, the only downside is that it cost me 5 time more!!! I'm screwed!!!
Here's my Sunday shopping outfit. Since I was going to be doing some serious walking around the mall I needed to feel comfortable, plus it's Sunday and Sunday calls for comfort. Black jeans and denim tops go together like bread and butter, add to it a bright color and you have yourself a fun outfit. You can add color thru accessories like a bright colorful bag, shoes, a scarf, a necklace, or you can try adding a bright neon cardigan like I did with my outfit. It's all about creativity, that's the fun part of dressing up.

PHOTOGRAPHER MODE
Today I'm styling and shooting some photos for C'Santos which is why I'm in my photographer mode, one of my favorite modes I have to say. When you take pictures you need to feel the most comfortable, you need to be able to move freely and at times even get down and dirty. With this in mind I decided to wear my AG distressed denim shorts, J.Crew chambray shirt and Converse sneakers, a classic denim on denim look, seriously it can't get more comfortable than this without sacrificing style. I'm ready to roll!!!

BLUE ON BLUE AND NEONS
I bought this scarf at J.Crew last year in the month of January and it's one of those things I'm so glad I bought, it turns any outfit into something fun, like today for example I wore my MNG dark denim skinny jeans, MNG jean shirt, Massimo Dutti vest, MNG neon scarf, purple converse sneakers, Massimo Dutti cross body satchel bag, and of course my J.Crew scarf.

INDIAN SUMMER TOP
Yesterday I went with my friends Kika and Deby to Zara to see what was new and exciting, they had some really wonderful and colorful stuff I would love to wear this summer. I'm not a shopaholic in fact I'm gonna let you in a little secret: I don't go shopping very often I go shopping very sporadically mainly because I have to take care of my economy. When I go shopping I sometimes get a little bit anxious not because I want to get more stuff but because it makes me nervous to spend money hahaha it's funny. Even thought I love fashion and I love admiring beautiful things I'm glad I don't feel the need to have them desperately like other people do, I don't feel more or less for the things I have or don't have, I'm just happy to be the girl I am. Despite my anxiety I decided to get myself 2 TOPS!!! hahaha super cute!!! I call them indian summer tops, this is one of them, later on this week I'll show you the other one.

IN A RUSH
This morning at 7:30am I left my house in a rush because I had to go teach a class. I didn't have much time for anything. I woke up at 6am, had my coffee, published my first post of the day, showered, changed, took a picture of today's in a rush outfit and left my house with my mobile office lol!!! Since I didn't have much time to think what to wear I just grabbed my chambray shirt from J.Crew, Rag & Bone red jeggings and purple Converses'. A bit too casual for teaching a class but the good thing is that I'm free to express myself however I want. After class I came to visit my mother and in a little while I'm gonna head to C'Santos to take some pictures of their 2 year anniversary, they're having discounts and cocktails!!! What more can you ask for lol!!! If you feel like heading yourself to C'Santos as well here's their address:
13 calle "A" 7-19 Zona 10, Plaza Tiffany
Hope you all have a wonderful day and stay tuned for more on Style by Red.

A LITTLE BIT OF SUNDAY
Today I went to support my best friend with her KONY 2012 initiative here in Guatemala. It was quite a sunny morning and despite the extremely hot weather the team managed to sell some posters and t-shirts and spread the word, some people where very interested in learning more, it's amazing how many don't know anything about KONY.
I thought I had dressed up fresh but I was still sweating like a Thanksgiving turkey. We might do this again next Sunday so if you live in Guatemala City or are visiting look us up at Pasos y Pedales.
